Info From Today.

We got in. We had just enough time to go through the building, take a lot of photos, and clean up some of the mess and debri in the hallways (couches, benches, floating palm trees, a church pew). It’s still muddy and slick in there. Everyone needs to bring rubber boots, rubber gloves and lots and lots of patience.

If you need crew, please call Tripp or Susan at Crew One. 615-478-2747.

A Message from Tour Supply

Dear Friends,

We are deeply saddened by the recent flood and subsequent damage that we have all incurred. However, we are resolved to get through this together and look forward to being a key part of the rebuilding process. We are working on a few programs to help out our community immediately. We will be offering Tube Amp Restoration services through Tour Supply as soon as we can get a temporary office set up. Randy Gabbard, who many of you know, is one of the most qualified tube techs in the country. Randy will be in charge of the restoration program and will have help from the rest of our staff. We have also received encouraging offers of assistance from our friends at Mercury Magnetics, Electro Harmonix (Sovtek, EH tubes), and others who will help us keep costs down in offering these services. We’re aware that many of you have relics that can never be adequately replaced. It is our hopes in offering this service that we can salvage as many of these priceless items as possible and restore them to original condition. If you would like to get your amp in line for service, please send an email to fixmyamp@toursupply.com and let us know what make/model/year your amp is. This will help us to order enough tubes and parts to have on hand for everyone.

On a personal note, the offers of help have been truly overwhelming. We’re so grateful to be part of this community and have so many great friends here inNashville. Thanks to all of you for your support and prayers. We look forward to getting Sound Check rebuilt and helping our community recover from this disaster.

Sincerely,

Tour Supply Nashville

Lance, Randy, Joe, Blount, Michael

Update Update Update…..

UPDATE  5/7/10   12:00 P.M. Please re-read this whole post.

THIS POST IS NOW STICKY. UPDATES TO THIS POST WILL APPEAR AT THE END OF THE POST.

NEWER POSTS WILL APPEAR BELOW THIS POST.

WE WILL START LOAD OUT AT 8 A.M. SATURDAY THROUGH TILL THE END.

We really need everyone to follow this schedule as close as possible. We have to get everything out so we can have cleaning crews get in, rip out, and sanitize the buildings so we can get your gear back in as soon as possible.

We will start the load out on Friday at 12 P.M. and go as long as we have light. (There will be no power)

On Friday and Saturday we will allow people in lockers 1 – 100 to load out of 750 Cowan St.

On Saturday and Sunday we will allow people in lockers 101 – 178 to load out of 750 Cowan St.

On Monday and Tuesday we will allow people in all lockers in 740 Cowan St. to load out.

Set storage in 740 and 820 will load out after all lockers are loaded out unless you need those sets for tours next week.

Anyone who needs labor for load out should call Tripp or Susan at Crew One at 615-478-2747

Each locker client is responsible for supervising the loading and unloading of their gear by any labor.

We will provide trucking to anyone wanting to use Soundcheck’s emergency storage space for drying out their gear and temporary storage. You will still be responsible for labor to get the truck loaded and unloaded.

Please remember that all of the gear we will be dealing with is contaminated with potentially hazardous materials and microbes. Rubber gloves and shoes or boots are required.

We are operating out of temporary offices on the other side of the river in German Town. We will be answering the main Soundcheck number 615-726-1165, but at present we have only one phone line. If you get a busy signal, please keep trying. If you have an emergency you can contact Ben Jumper @ 423-240-6081, or Jan Greenfield @ 615-596-7656.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation. More info as the Sun rises.

UPDATE     5/5/10   11:00 PM.

We will be marshaling trucks for load out down Cowan Ct.. This is the road in front of the 740 Cowan St. building. Mike West will be our Truck Wrangler. He will be in charge of getting trucks in and out of the loading docks. Please line up where he tells you. Once you are at a dock, please have an authorized person come inside, and check in with Sara. She will be signing everyone in. She will then hand you over to one of 2 people who will be opening your locker and taking pictures for Soundcheck’s documentation. You are then free to load your gear out.

Sorry

Sorry for the lack of posts. We’re dealing with a bad internet connection, and have had lots of meetings and visitors. We drove by on I-24 about 2 hours ago. It looks as if the water had only gone down maybe another foot.

Please, no one attempt to go down to the buildings. The police are patrolling the area, the water is nasty enough to make leaches sick, and there is still power running to most of the buildings. We will alert you to when it is safe to come down, and we are going to try to have people come down in an orderly fashion. We have limited dock space and we cannot clog up Cowan street and the 740 parking lost with trucks. Remember we share the 750 and 820 buildings with other people who are also going to be trying to get their stuff out.

I’m working on getting some video from the helicopter flight put up here. It will have to wait till I get home to better internet.
