Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will you accept shipments for us?

A: For storage clients, yes.  However, we do not have the labor to handle large shipments. We don’t mind putting one or two boxes or a rolling case in your locker, but if it’s more than that, we suggest you contact Crew One to schedule a labor call. If you are a rehearsal client, please have items shipped to arrive no sooner than the day before your scheduled rehearsal. Your shipment may have to remain on the dock until you arrive, but it will be marked for your arrival. We are NOT responsible for items left on the dock or outside of your locker.


Q: Does Soundcheck facilitate outbound shipments?

A: NO. We usually have air bills lying around that we’d be happy to provide you with, but aside from that, you are responsible for scheduling the pickup of your items, and ensuring the driver has all necessary documents.


Q: Can we leave our truck and/or trailer at your dock?

A: Our docks are shared by everyone, and we are constantly receiving shipment deliveries/pickups. Therefore, we ask you to please have your truck or trailer out of the dock space as soon as you have completed your load in.


Q: Where can we park a bus and/or trailer?

A: We have a designated area for rehearsing clients to park their trailers, trucks or buses. Please contact the main office for further instructions – (615) 726-1165.


Q: Do you allow overnight parking?

A: We have a designated area we refer to as “Tour Parking.” Rates start at $40/week for up to five vehicles.  Please contact the main office to make arrangements – (615) 726-1165.


Q: Do you have shore power?

A: YES, we have service for one bus. Please reserve in advance.


Q: What are the hours for a room lock out?

A: 8 a.m. – Midnight. We can accommodate for alternate hours, but it must be arranged in advance and will be charged as overtime rates.


Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A:  Cancellations may be made 48 hours prior to your scheduled time on a single day or hourly rehearsal. For multi-day rehearsals, we require 2 weeks notice for any cancellations. We know you want to make sure that you have the space available when you need it, but please be respectful of our other bookings.  Please note: it is unlikely that we would be able rent the space out on shorter notice.


Q:I want to rent a few hours every night for a week.  Do I have to tear down each night?

A: Not if you pay the date rate. This secures the room as yours all day/night for the dates needed. If you only want to pay for the few hours of rehearsal time, then yes, you will have to tear down and remove your gear so the space is available for other rehearsals the remaining hours of the day.


Q: Do you supply an engineer for rehearsals?

A: Your room rate includes an engineer to get you up and running. Normally, this should take about 15 to 30 minutes. If you are using in-ears, doing a showcase, or recording, we recommend that you bring your own engineer. However, we always have an engineer in the building for problems or consultations. Engineers can be made available for an additional cost.


Q: Are there lights in the rehearsal rooms?

A: We have traditional, everyday overhead fluorescent lighting in each room. Any additional lighting would need to be brought in independently or rented for a fee. Lighting is available in Room D, please see specs on Room D for more details.


Q: Can we bring lights?

A: YES, but please mention this at the time of booking as we have limited power available for lighting.


Q: Can we hang from the roof and if so, what are the weight limits?

A: YES, but please call our office and discuss it with us ahead of time as different rooms have different weight limits. We will be able to help you find the best option for what you need.


Q: Does the room come with a drum kit?

A: NO, however, we do have a backline department in-house that would be more than happy to assist you with setting up any backline rentals. In-house rentals are half price.


Q: Can we shoot our video at Soundcheck?

A: YES, but there are different rules and pricing. Please call our office for more information.


Q: Can we use fog?

A: YES, but only in certain rooms and we ask that you keep it to a minimum. Please mention this at the time of booking for more information.


Q: Can we have a showcase at Soundcheck?

A: We have particular guidelines when it comes to showcases. To protect the privacy of our clients, we only allow small, industry showcases here at Soundcheck. We do NOT allow showcases that are open to the public.


Q: Can we have a party at Soundcheck?

A: NO, this is also to protect the privacy of our clients.


Q: Do you sell equipment?

A: NO.
